Health Risks for LGBTQIA+ Community Members
These resources from Drugwatch contain information about physical and mental health issues that members of the LGBTQIA+ community face. Intersectionality sometimes comes into play with issues such as these, as explained in the articles. Click the buttons to find out more about what you can do to prevent these risks, and some support resources as well.
These are the most recent results from this survey, which discusses the resources LGBTQIA2+ students have in their schools, if any. It also addresses the intersectionality that is experienced by students of color and disabled students.

Resources for LGBTQIA+ Teens and Parents
2019 National School Climate Survey
This survey was conducted to compare and study the experiences that LGBTQIA+ youth go through in school. It also discusses what resources are available to such students, and if they have access to them.
Intersectionality comes into play as the survey addresses the experiences of LGBTQIA+ students of color.
Currently, an updated survey is in the works and it will include a section addressing disabled students' experiences.
Questioning Your Bookshelf
Throughout Tioga County, this program will open community and school libraries up to a more diverse range of books. Although it will mostly focus on diversity in gender identity and sexual/romantic orientation, the selection is diverse in other areas as well, such as race and ethnicity.
The clickable button below leads to a Google Doc consisting a list of books for elementary, middle, and high school-level readers and the criteria that was and is used to choose them.
